Italian Antonietta Mastroianni is leaving Proximus. She had been Chief Digital and IT Officer since spring 2021 and has opted for “a CIO role in an international context”. Previously, she worked at Telecom Denmark, Swisscom, Sunrise and the Italian company 3. Jeroen Verbruggen, currently senior manager within the department, will take over her position on an interim basis from 1 November.
With the departure of Antonietta Mastroianni, virtually the entire top management team of former CEO Guillaume Boutin has left the company. Anne-Sophie Lotgering also left the group earlier to take up a top job at NTT Europe. At Proximus Global, the management was also reorganised and Seckin Arakan was recently appointed as top manager. This gives the new Proximus CEO Stijn Bijnens greater control over the telecom operator.
