Erik Cuypers is the new chairman of Becom, the Belgian federation for e-commerce. ‘The Belgian digital economy is running at full speed, but it needs a powerful boost. Innovation, AI and new technologies offer enormous opportunities for our e-commerce sector,’ says Erik Cuypers.
His ambition is ‘to position Belgium as a leader in secure, transparent and customer-focused digital commerce.’ Erik Cuypers also wants to collaborate more with other parties such as MIT-Club and the Chief Digital Officer of the Year platform.
Erik Cuypers was honoured as CDO of the Year in 2019. He joined Maxeda (Brico, Praxis en Bricoplanit etc) in 2015 as Group CDO en CIO.
