Olivier Guilmain has been working at Etex since 2019 as head of digital, AI and customer solutions. Etex is a global industrial multinational specialising in building materials, with a turnover of 3.7 billion euros and 13,500 employees in 45 countries. His mission was to build a truly integrated digital ecosystem across all brands and countries, with the best customer experience. First, all local websites were consolidated into a single platform: 293 websites in 76 languages. Next, My Etex was launched, a self-service platform for distributors. Digital was embedded in the core business, including AI agents that answer more than 2.000 customer questions every month. The results are impressive: more than 1.5 billion digital orders per year (+7%), 85,000 leads per year with a conversion rate of 35%, €10 million in efficiency gains thanks to the AI Virtual Agent, and €32 million in business opportunities generated online. “I lead by showing results. My way of influencing is simple: deliver first, demonstrate impact and then scale across the business, a pragmatic impact-driven approach,” says Olivier Guilmain.
