Bruno Mortier, the chief executive of the pharmaceutical group Febelco, is set to become the new CEO of Signpost from October. Signpost is the largest supplier of computers to the education sector. Current CEO Arne Vandendriessche is handing over the reins after 12 years and is looking to move on to something else.
Signpost was founded in 2002 by the flamboyant Dutchman Paul Steenbergen. Through targeted acquisitions, it has grown into an international player operating in 14 countries. With 350 employees, it achieved a turnover of around 200 million euros last year, according to Arne Vandendriessche. He will soon become chairman of the board of directors.
