After five years, Isabel Van Mele is leaving KBC Bank and Insurance. Since March 2025, she has held the role of Chief Innovation, Digital Transformation and Business Performance Officer for international markets at the KBC Group, including in Hungary and Slovakia.
Prior to that, she had been Chief Information Officer at KBC Belgium since 2021, leading a team of 3,000 IT professionals. Last year, she was succeeded by Kris Vervaet, who has recently been promoted to Group CIO.
Isabel Van Mele previously worked at KPN Orange (now Base-Telenet), IBM Global Business Services and DPG Media. From 2018 to 2021, she was Chief Data Officer at ING Belgium and the Netherlands.
