Koen Deryckere will become the new CEO of Cegeka on 1 May, almost a year after Stijn Bijnens left to join Proximus. Bart Watteeuw will continue to serve as interim CEO in the meantime. He will become chief operating officer on 1 May.
Cegeka chairman André Knaepen has made his decision and chosen Koen Deryckere, who has a 25-year career at Accenture behind him. He has both Belgian and Swiss nationality and lives in Geneva. At Accenture, he is CEO and president for the Benelux and France. Previously, he was COO responsible for Accenture in the EMEA region. He joined Accenture in the spring of 2000 as client account head. Koen Deryckere is a commercial engineer, business economics and information systems (KU Leuven).
