Erik Cuypers is to become Chief Digital and Information Officer at the Maxeda Group, the largest DIY retailer in the Benelux. In Belgium, it is best known for its Brico stores. He has been working at Maxeda as Group CIO for 11 years.
The Maxeda Group is bringing digital commerce, data, AI and technology closer together within a single integrated approach. This is not driven by technology as an end in itself, but by one clear conviction: customers do not think in terms of channels. In his role as CDIO, Erik Cuypers will be responsible for connecting and further developing digital commerce, data, AI and technology as integrated capabilities within the Maxeda DIY Group.
Erik Cuypers was named Chief Digital Officer of the Year in 2020.
