KBC has once again clinched gold with its banking app, according to the latest ranking by the French consultancy SIA Partners. It is particularly praised for its Kate AI agent. Until last year, Karin Van Hoecke was one of the driving forces behind the project. She has recently taken up the post of Executive Director for Innovation in the Czech Republic. In 2024, she was named Chief Digital Officer of the Year.
In the ranking of the world’s best mobile banking apps, Belfius is in 6th place. ING is just outside the top 20, whilst BNP Paribas Fortis comes in at 33rd place.
