Roy van Aalst, one of Cisco’s first European employees, has passed away. He was just 62 years old.
Roy Van Aalst began his career in 1989 as an account manager at Telindus, but moved to Getronics two years later as sales manager. However, he made his biggest move in early 1992 when he became general manager Benelux for the then fledgling Cisco Networks. He rose quickly through the ranks and moved to the headquarters in Palo Alto five years later, where he became senior director of sales operations worldwide.
