The fast-growing Leuven-based data and AI consultancy Datashift is looking to expand outside its home market for the first time. The Leuven-based company is acquiring a majority stake in Antwerp-based Data Trust Associates. With 35 employees, the company operates in Belgium and the Netherlands, generating a turnover of around 3.4 million euros.
This is Datashift’s first acquisition. CEO Nico Huybrechts founded the company 10 years ago and today, with 175 employees, it generates a turnover of 25 million euros. ‘By 2030, we aim to achieve a turnover of more than 50 million euros. To this end, we are also looking at acquisitions in Scandinavia and Germany, supported by our investor Finco,’ he told the financial newspaper De Tijd.
