Michal Paprocki has been named European CIO of the Year by CIOnet. The Polish national is the group CIO of the Belgian financial services provider Euroclear.
Michal Paprocki has had an impressive career. The economist joined Synergy Polska in the summer of 2001 and became its operations director. Two years later, he moved to the Polish branch of ING, where he rose through the ranks over 15 years to become CEO of ING Tech Poland. He has been with Euroclear since late 2018, first as CTO and subsequently as Group CIO.
