Digi Belgium, the fourth mobile operator to focus exclusively on the consumer market, is looking for a new CEO. Today, 30 June, is Jeroen Degadt’s last day. He has led Digi Belgium since the summer of 2023, steering the company through its first turbulent years. Prior to that, he worked for Proximus for over 18 years. Recently, Jeroen Degadt secured the contract with Bpost, which will act as a reseller.
Digi Belgium (officially Digi Communications Belgium) is a joint venture. It comprises two shareholders: Digi Romania (the Romanian parent company), which holds a 51% majority stake, and Citymesh (the Belgian telecoms operator and Cegeka sister company), which owns the remaining 49%. At the end of March, Digi had 99,000 mobile customers in Belgium.
