Elke Laeremans has been recruited by retail company Krëfel as Chief Technology Officer and will also be responsible for steering the digital transformation.
Krëfel has more than 70 shops in Belgium and, with over 1,200 employees, generates a turnover of more than 430 million euros. Itl was acquired by the French group Boulanger in 2019. Boulanger is part of Groupe Mulliez, a large French family holding company that also owns chains such as Auchan and Decathlon.
Elke Laeremans has extensive experience in retail. She worked for almost 10 years as chief information officer at the shoe company Torfs. In 2021, she was honoured as CIO of the year. In her most recent job, she was chief digital @ supply chain manager at Casa.
