For the second year running, the KBC banking app has been voted the best in the world. This is according to the annual survey conducted by French consultancy firm SIA.
KBC general manager of digital transformation Karin Van Hoecke is rightly proud: she has won gold for the second year in a row the SIA’s annual poll. A total of 136 banks from 22 countries were selected. More than a hundred criteria were examined. Artificial intelligence is, of course, becoming increasingly important. “Kate”, the digital agent of the KBC smartphone app, is becoming more and more powerful. The latest quarterly results show that Kate can already handle the work of 300 employees.
Karin Van Hoecke was voted CDO of the Year 2024
Belfius ranks sixth in the ranking. At the time, it was among the top three. ING ranks 21st. BNP Paribas Fortis ranks only 33rd.
