The Belgian federation of expert accountants and tax advisors has issued a formal notice to the federal government due to ongoing problems with the IT platforms of the Federal Public Service Finance. The financial newspaper L’Echo reported.
Last weekend, a glitch in MyMinfin and Tax-on-web forced the FPS Finance to extend the deadline for filing personal income tax returns. But problems with the FPS Finance’s digital services are a recurring issue, the Institute for Tax Advisors and Accountants (ITAA) complains in L’Echo. The federation represents 13,500 certified accountants and tax advisors. “The sector will no longer tolerate the government’s IT errors,” says Chairman Emmanuel Degrève in the newspaper.
