Wim Van Heesbeke has been promoted to chief information officer at Batopin, the company set up by banks to install cash machines throughout the country. He had been IT Transformation Manager there since last year.
Wim Van Heesbeke brings a wealth of experience to the role. He worked for four years at Krediet aan de Nijverheid as an IT architect and project manager, before moving to Fujitsu. In early 2006, he joined BNP Paribas Fortis, where he rose to become head of IS Finance and ADM Functions. At Sopra Steria, he headed up the department in the Netherlands. Mid 2017, he was recruited by the Independent Health Insurance Funds as CIO for a period of eight years.
